Our client, a New Zealand owned fuel distribution company based in the Manawatu is looking for a CFO to join their management team. The company has a record of vibrant growth and is keen to build its future by taking advantage of opportunities for growth related to their core strengths and values.
The organisation requires a commercially astute finance practitioner to play a pivotal role in developing the strategic plan and be the key financial advisor to the General Manager and Board of Directors. You will be technically competent, well versed in strategic financial analysis and have a talent towards continuous improvement.
You will support the General Manager with the development of strategic direction and you will contribute significantly to achieving the goals of the finance team and of the wider business.
The key responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer will be:
Strategic Development of Leadership
Relationship Management
Management of People, Resources and Performance
Business planning and reporting
Risk Management
Financial Management and services
CA qualified with 5 years minimum experience in a senior role; ideally you will come from a disciplined accounting background, coupled with financial management expertise in a commercial environment. Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for leading a small team and developing the administrative, financial, accounting and ICT functions of the business.

Prior successful track record in senior strategic financial role
Strong skills within the area of finance, risk and compliance
Commercial acumen
Attention to detail
Experience in the implementation of new process and IT applications
Well developed leadership, relationship management and interpersonal skills
High level strategic and thinking abilities
Proactive and results focused with a can do practical approach
